Receiving My Purple Belt in December 2014 was a brilliant moment.
What are your fitness plans for this next year?
Well I’m off to Lisbon, Portugal to fight in the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiujitsu Federation) European Championships, and after being newly promoted to purple belt it will be my toughest challenge to date.
Do you have you heart set on any particular goal for the future?
I’d obviously like to achieve my BJJ black belt and go on to become a world champion in my division.
Which Deluxe product would you recommend to others and why?
I use all sorts of deluxe products but my favourite is the vanilla casein protein. I like to use it after training. It’s great for recovery best used before sleep.

What do you value above anything else and why?
I value the health I am lucky enough to have. Many people are less fortunate and without a healthy body and healthy mind I would not be as successful as I am and wouldn’t be able to do either my job or my sport so for this I am truly thankful.
Which person has influenced you most in your life?
Your influences change in your life depending on your state of mind and the challenges you are facing at the time but I guess the most influential person in Jiujitsu for me is my coach Eduardo Carriello. He is teaching me so much about myself right now, he is a very nice guy and very humble. This is so important.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
A black belt is just a white belt who never gave up.
What is on your bucket list that you haven’t got round to doing yet?
I would love to go to Brazil and train with the guys at connection Rio, this would be amazing!!
What is your perfect way to unwind on a weekend?
Jiujitsu!! . . . What else??
Not many people know this about me but….
Tough one, I’m pretty open so most people know everything there is to know about me that I would want to share. We all have a mysterious side though right?
