Our Ambassador Megan Davies tells us about her use of supplements:
‘I trained for my first ultra marathon using minimal supplements. Heat training required electrolyte tablets, which I added to my water. I found these extremely useful and I certainly noticed the difference without them, particularly when training in Ghana. I didn’t really know much about recovery aids or salt tablets at all, I was told about these shortly before I took part in the Grand to Grand across America.
I still use electrolytes during particularly long, or hot runs, but added to this are salt tablets. I also now regularly use recovery powder, generally in smoothies, which helps my muscles repair during back to back intensive training sessions/long runs.
